Reservation Policy for admission shall be guided by the West Bengal State Higher Educational Institutions (Reservation in Admission), Act 2013 and Rules, 2014 and Memorandum No. 330-Edn (CS)/OM-74L/2023, dt., 26.05.2023. For Persons with Disabilities (PwD), reservation will be maintained as per the relevant norms (5% of seats are reserved in each category vide G.O. A student will have to opt for three subjects as IDCs (one in each of the first three semesters) from a pool of subjects offered by the college in the different disciplines. These subjects must be different from the major and minor subject. Candidates will be able to choose the IDCs after the completion of the admission process.
SEC courses are based upon skill enhancement. Student shall study 2 SECs based on Major subjects in 1st and 3rd semester. In the 2nd semester the student can study Artificial Intelligence (for Science discipline) or Digital Empowerment (for Humanities & Language discipline) or as specified in the syllabus of the concerned Major subject. Candidates will be able to choose the SECs after the completion of the admission process.
A student shall take 4 CVAC courses. In the 1st semester she will take 2 compulsory CVACs (ENVS & Constitutional Values). In the 2nd semester there shall be 1 compulsory CVAC in ENVS & the students shall select the other CVAC from a pool of courses. Candidates will be able to choose their optional CVACs after the completion of the admission process.
All students shall have to study 4 AEC courses. There will be a compulsory AEC, named Compulsory English which shall be studied in the 1st and 2ndsemesters and there will be an optional AEC (Bengali/Hindi/Urdu/ Alt. Eng) to be studied in the 3rd & 4th semesters.

Admission to Semester Wise Four-Year B.A./ B.Sc. (Honours with or without Research) Courses Of Studies Under [Curriculum And Credit Framework (CCF, 2022)] offered by Lady Brabourne College, affiliated to the University of Calcutta, is merit based. Applicants are instructed to read carefully the guidelines provided below and the eligibility criterion before filling in the application form online.
The College has kept a provision for candidates to register their willingness for admission to Lady Brabourne College though registering under “Wish-List”. The link for the Wish-List Registration will be made available on the college admission portal in due time. Only applicants whose names have appeared in the Revised Merit List (provisional) will be able to register under “Wish-List”. Applicants are instructed to follow the admission portal for Admission Schedules all subsequent notices and register their names under the Wish List without fail whenever notified.
Students’ Registration under the University of Calcutta will be initiated after completion of the online admission process. Candidates admitted to Lady Brabourne College will be intimated about the procedure of Registration through notification published on the admission portal. The College has kept a provision for candidates to register their willingness for admission to Lady Brabourne College under a particular UG course. After the completion of 8th round of admission, the valid candidates, whose names have not been published in the first 8 Call lists will be able to register their names (Major subject -wise), under the “Wish-List”. Registration under Wish-List will be conducted according to the above given schedule. From the 9th round of admission, all Call Lists will be generated from the Wish-listed candidates according to merit.
Detailed instructions for the Wish-List registration will be notified on the admission portal in due time. Candidates who fail to register their names under the subject-wise Wish-List, will not be considered for admission in later rounds. Applicants are instructed to follow the admission portal regularly for all subsequent notices and register their names under the Wish-List according to instructions without fail.
